The POB National Technical Honors Society-NTHS is a student organization that recognizes and encourages higher scholastic achievement in career technology education, cultivates a desire for personal excellence, and helps top students find success in today’s highly competitive workplace.

Who can join: Juniors and seniors who meet the below criteria:
Once inducted, members must check their emails for NTHS updates and attend 50 % of the meetings( we meet virtually 2nd Monday of the month when needed OR follow through the NTHS news email/remind Ms. Patel sends ), They are expected to complete one service project each semester, and remain in good academic standing in order to be considered an active member. Students must also join the NTHS remind by texting @NTHSPOB to the number 81010. Our meetings provide a forum for members to plan community service opportunities. Other opportunities POB NTHS members are expected to complete by their senior year:
-Complete your CTE magnet pathway and earn a silver or higher on the ACT work keys in you senior year
-Sign up for Career College Promise - college credit classes via the dual enrollment program
-Complete a paid internship through the opportunities Ms. Patel coordinates or find opportunity you seek on your own.
-Road to Hire Pathways college application and scholarship support class in your senior year.
-Be a POB ambassadors for school promotions and your CTE pathway showcase

December - Be Career Ready- Mock interview practice and MYEP applications
December- "Spread the season's joy among POB staff" community service
Jan- End of semester Exams, Continue applying for Scholarships, NTHS ambassadors at Berry Magnet open house
Feb- Provide Act Prep support, participate in ACT work keys & create CTE Senior showcase & NTHS Scholarship applications
March- help with CTE Career fair, NTHS Scholarship applications
Feb- April- Complete Service Campaign "CARDinals for Kids" to create literacy flash cards for elementary students
April-May Career College Promise Registration- start those college classes now for free,
May-Graduation Regalia Order & Senior awards
June-Final Exams and Graduation

- Desire to operate with a service and scholarship attitude
- Pursue a career in your choice of technical program
- Enrollment in Career Technical Education
- unweighted GPA of 3.00 or above
- “A/B” average in your CTE Pathway classes
- No academic,attendace or discipline issues
- Recommendation of a CTE teacher
- Junior or Senior
